Winter activities in Samoens
Samoens is at the heart of the Grand Massif ski area, with 265km of pistes. From Samoëns, you can reach the resorts of Flaine, Morillon, Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval and Les Carroz and enjoy one of the largest ski areas in Europe.
In the village, take a stroll through the typical narrow streets, enjoy the ice rink, visit the botanical garden or hop on the little train for a guided tour. Treat your taste buds to a range of local delicatessens or enjoy a meal in one of the resort's many restaurants.
Cross-country skiers will be delighted by the Nordic areas, either in the valley between Morillon and the cirque du Fer-à-Cheval, depending on the snow conditions, or at the Col de Joux Plane, which is served by the shuttle bus and has an uninterrupted view of Mont Blanc.
